The Engineering Board deals principally with the technical issues associated with the highway engineering aspects of ADEPT's work, providing technical advice and expertise to the Roads Liaison Group and its four associated boards.
Increasingly, as the landscape of highway network management changes under the influence of both natural and financial changes, the Board provides a focal point for local authority expertise and best practice in highway topic areas such as network condition and resilience, climate change impacts (adaptation and mitigation), procurement and sustainability.
The Board oversees the following working groups: Street Lighting, the National Bridges Group, Soils & Materials Design & Specification Group, and the joint UKRLG & ADEPT Asset Management Board.
