This session focused on Natural Capital and Nature-based Solutions. Leigh Crowhurst and Anna Kilty from Jacobs discussed what Natural Capital is and what is driving interest in it, including the 25 Year Environmental Plan in the Environment Act 2021. The session explored of how can a natural capital approach can deliver multiple benefits across projects. Nature-based Solutions is a term frequently used within the industry, during the lunch and learn we explained what Nature-based Solutions are and how a nature-based mindset can be leveraged to deliver better outcomes for biodiversity, people and projects.
