The group's Terms of Reference are:
1. To support the Transport Board by providing technical advice on traffic management and road safety
2. To represent Local Authority road, traffic, and safety interests at a national level
3. Share, develop and influence good practice between regional groups
4. Collaborate, communicate, and disseminate matters raised at a regional level
5. Collectively respond to consultation issues that would be appropriate at a national level
6. Report on issues raised specifically by the ADEPT Transport Board and if appropriate represent ADEPT at Select Committees and on the Road Safety Delivery Board
7. Provide a coordinated approach to research opportunities
