The Future Highways Research Group (FHRG) publishes new prospectus

A new prospectus has been published by The Future Highways Research Group (FHRG), aimed at local authority highways service leaders.

The prospectus collates the available tools and services that have been developed through research and application.

We are pleased to announce that all LHAs can now access expertise, support and toolkits on issues including value for money assessments, carbon footprint assessment and reduction options, future service delivery options studies, highways services optimisation, mutuality reviews, future fleet services reviews and strategic innovations assessments.

The FHRG is a forum where local authority highways service leaders can share knowledge and experiences and develop innovations that could transform the highways sector through the application of academic research frameworks and methods. It offers opportunities to debate, design, develop and test innovative solutions to prevailing and emerging challenges in the highways sector.

ADEPT and Proving Services, a research organisation based at Cranfield University, have been in partnership since 2018 and deliver the FHRG. Together, they provide various tools and methodologies to support ADEPT local authority members with the challenges facing the highways sector.
