John Wood retires
Past ADEPT 1st Vice President, John Wood retires from his role of Chief Executive of Hertfordshire County Council at the end of 2018. John was an active member of the County Surveyors Society (CSS) then ADEPT up to the time he took on this role, 6 years ago, which unfortunately meant he had to step away before having the chance to lead the organisation as President. John moved up the ranks through Hertfordshire over his 27 years there with his early years focusing on the transport planning side of the business. He was responsible for a number of innovative initiatives in transport, including the introduction of the National Traveline. In recognition of his contribution to CSS/ADEPT he was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation this month.
