New government - ADEPT asks
The arrival of the new government is a timely opportunity to communicate our visions and goals with clarity and purpose.
In the coming months we will be conducting a series of meetings with MPs that will build our profile and share our knowledge, positioning ADEPT as a valuable source of information and expertise on matters of place.
Our Manifesto for Stronger Places sets out our strategic objectives, which clearly state what we want to see adopted in government’s approach to local authorities. The document has informed and guided a new, more detailed and nuanced set of briefing documents focusing on housing, waste, transport and climate change, designed to clearly communicate our sector’s needs to government.
They include recommendations and guidance as well as information on relevant ADEPT initiatives and research that support our set of practical, achievable requests.
You can click below to read our policy papers. We are also preparing detailed documents on housing and on recycling and waste - these will be published soon.
