ADEPT Autumn Conference 2024 - it's a wrap!
The ADEPT Autumn Conference concluded on Friday 22nd of November, with the theme of ‘Creating places fit for the future: our past, our present, our future’.
The event, attended by over 200 people, took place in Bristol and provided place directors with an opportunity to reflect on the past and the present and consider how future spaces are created.
Topics included future proofing local government, housing fit for the future, shaping the future built environment through innovation, and ensuring young people’s voices are represented and heard in place making.
Speakers included Ann Carruthers, ADEPT President, Tony Juniper of Natural England, James Browne from the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, Helen Avery of the Green Finance Institute, Emma Toovey of the Environment Bank and Lorna Baxter of the Association of LA Treasurers Societies.
