ADEPT response to the March 2017 Budget

ADEPT President, Rupert Clubb said: “ADEPT welcomes the additional funding allocated by the Government to social care.  “While we welcome the support for STEM PhDs, we would like to see support for our young people who need to be excited by STEM and confident in the decisions they make while at school.
“Supporting electric vehicles will help to alleviate congestion and make a real contribution to the work undertaken by Local Authorities in tackling air quality.
“The £300m fund to provide discretional relief on business rates is an interesting proposal, but as with all the announcements in this Budget, we wait to see the detail of how this might work in practice.”
