CIHT podcast on Future Mobility
Giles Perkins, Head of Future Mobility, WSP and Live Labs programme director, was recently interviewed for a Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) podcast.
In the podcast, Giles talks about how advances made in digital technology have transformed how we live and work and will have far reaching impacts. He discusses future mobility and how it can deliver economic benefits for the nation, from moving goods around more efficiently, to getting people to education opportunities and improving travel.
Giles also talks about the ADEPT SMART Places Live Labs Programme, the two-year, £22.9m project funded by the Department for Transport that will run until Spring 2021. The podcast explores some of the Live Lab projects around the country, giving examples of how these initiatives are pushing boundaries and how the results are set to influence the design and implementation of technology in our environment.
