New ADEPT programmes launched: Digital Academy and Carbon Leadership Programme
Over the past month, we have launched several exciting leadership and development programmes, supported and delivered by our sector partners.
The ADEPT Digital Academy and the Carbon Leadership Programme both have introductory webinars coming up soon, so here is a quick summary and reminder of the programmes.
Digital Academy
The ADEPT Digital Academy, supported by Colas Ltd and delivered by Multiverse is a brand-new and bespoke initiative which is fully funded by the Apprenticeship Levy and has been specifically designed to accelerate digital and data skill development across local authorities.

Introductory webinars will be taking place on
- Monday 23rd June 2025 – 1pm – 2pm
- Thursday 10th July 2025 – 1pm – 2pm
Both will feature the same content, so you need only register for one date.
Each webinar will cover
- how the academy works
- who it’s for
- how it supports your organisation’s priorities

Carbon Leadership Programme
The Carbon Leadership Programme, supported by Department for Transport and delivered by Proving Services, has been designed to help local highway authorities to both measure and identify how to reduce their carbon emissions
The programme has evolved from research undertaken by Proving Services on behalf of the Future Highways Research Group (FHRG) and further refined through the Live Labs 2 initiative.
The programme is aimed at Local Highway Authorities across England and is fully funded. You can find out more about the programme and what it offers here.

An introductory webinar will be held on 24th June 2025.
Three training webinars with detailed guidance will be held on:
- 8th, 16th and 23rd July 2025
Each training webinar covers the same content so there is no requirement to attend all three. You can register to attend on the Carbon Leadership Programme page.
