This report describes the trials into the suitability of using gully sensors to provide real-time water level information to highways and flood management teams. The results will be used to drive cleansing cycle scheduling and provide advanced flood warning notifications. It reviews existing network datasets to find suitable locations for sensor installation and to verify this research with a physical inspection of the chosen locations and their surroundings,  it presents results from the 50 gully sensors over the agreed time frame, it evaluates the data returned to measure the success and failure of gully sensor operation in real-world circumstances and provides conclusions.
