Woodland Creation Accelerator Fund conference
On 3rd July, ADEPT hosted the Woodland Creation Accelerator Fund Conference in Birmingham, bringing together over 80 local authority members for a day of knowledge sharing, collaboration and discussions.
The conference was a great success, with fantastic engagement and enthusiasm from everyone in the room. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive and we're excited about the momentum this event has generated.
Promoted by ADEPT, on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Forestry Commission, the Woodland Creation Accelerator Fund is providing local authorities with financial support to boost capacity and resource, helping them to employ, train and bring on board professional expertise to drive and accelerate tree planting and woodland creation commitments. 57 local authorities across England were awarded nearly £10 million to accelerate woodland and tree planting plans in November 2022.
We have also published two case studies highlighting progress and showcasing some of the Fund’s impactful work to date - read them here.
